Now a rare opportunity is coming up for an enthusiastic presenter to join this family business here in WA.

We are looking for a presenter to facilitate our hands-on maths incursions in Western Australia. This contract position requires the presenter to travel to schools all over the state and engage students from PP to Y9.

Full training provided. Any relevant professional background will be looked at. No teacher or maths qualification required (but preferred). Semi-retired applicants are welcome.

Job Description:

· Drive to school (mainly Perth Metro) with provided trailer (packed with around 40 activities)

· Arrive around 1h before first session (usually 7.30am)

· Carry all activities from trailer to area the incursion takes place and set up

· Facilitate between 4 and 5 one hour sessions with students PP to Y9

· Engage all students in fun educational concepts/activities. Inspire and Educate!

· Pack up activities in the trailer at the end of the day (departure around 4pm)

· Regional travel (Mon to Fri) up to 4 times a year

Selection criteria:

· Experience working with children

· Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills

· Physically fit to carry and set up equipment

· Experience working independently and excellent organizational skills

· Adaptability to be able to deal with daily changing work location

· Own ABN to invoice World of Maths WA for your each school visit

· Working with Children Card

· Vehicle with tow bar and valid driver’s license

What we provide:

· Full training (on the job for several days/shows) + Trailer with activities

· We provide the bookings; you just need to turn up at the schools and run the shows

· Pay is $300 and $600 per day (average income of presenter in 2024 was $450 per day). Your income is calculated based on the number of students you see

· This is a casual contract role and we cannot guarantee a minimum number of days work. The average will be around 2 days per week during school terms
