About the role
We are looking for a new educational team member to join our experienced team of groupwork facilitators in West Leederville. This position requires an individual to facilitate a range of psychoeducational workshops and courses for parents, couples or for people who have experienced separation and/or divorce or seeking further self development. A suitable candidate for this role would relevant qualifications, professional and lived experience who would feel confident to facilitate both in person and online courses for our clients during the day, evening or over a very occasional Saturday.
You will need to have demonstrated an ability to engage, liaise and interact with a broad range of course participants over the years. As the role would involve being an effective and engaging group facilitator both online or in person as well as, on occasion network with internal and external stakeholders to promote Relationships Australia W.A. Community Education services. Additionally, you will need to contribute to a positive team environment and assist the Education Manager to achieve service contract deliverables and consistently ensure we provide an excellent learning experience for course participants.
Skills, experience, and qualifications
· A relevant tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, counselling, education, public health, community development or a similar field is essential.
· Good experience in delivering psycho-education workshop and courses to adults.
· Able to reference over 12 months experience in Group Facilitation work.
· Experience in convening, facilitating or leading groups (face to face and/or online). In this role you will also be required to deliver workshops and facilitate groups during the day, evening/or on the occasional weekend.
· Demonstrated competence as a facilitator and in developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and community engagement to promote RAWA Education Services.
· Development of workshops to meet the learning needs of varying community groups.
· Excellent teamwork, work ethic, communication, planning and organisational skills with a high attention to detail.
· A positive and teamwork driven manner.
· Validated good competence in operating MS Office applications including PowerPoint as well as, facilitating workshops-courses online via either Teams and/or Zoom.
· Cultural competency and an understanding of issues affecting various communities.
