Registered Psychologist

Are you a compassionate and experienced psychologist with a genuine passion for helping individuals manage chronic pain? We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable psychologist to play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive care and support to our patients. Initaiily working one - two days a week

Position: Psychologist

Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate the emotional and psychological aspects of chronic pain conditions.

Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions to address both the physical and emotional aspects of chronic pain.

Psychotherapy: Provide psychotherapy and counselling services to help patients cope with pain, reduce distress, and improve their overall quality of life.

Pain Management Education: Educate patients on pain management techniques, relaxation strategies, and behavioral interventions to enhance their ability to manage pain effectively.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with our interdisciplinary team, including physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, progress notes, and treatment plans.

Qualifications:

Psychology - AHPRA registered

Valid SIRA registration

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
