The Role

We are looking for a Bridal Dressmaker / Tailor to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong technical background in bridal fittings, pattern-making, or garment construction, who also has administration skills to ensure showroom is held up to ARA Experience branding standards.

About the Role

As our Dressmaker / Tailor, you will:

Working in ARA Experience Adelaide as our inhouse dressmaker and tailor

Conduct measurements and fittings to ensure a perfect fit for each bride.

Work closely with our designers and clients to ensure their dress vision can be brought to life

Work closely with our production team to communicate design specifications and any necessary adjustments using our ARA Modulars

Provide technical advice on alterations, fabric behavior, and dress structure, then providing tailored solutions to client needs/wants

Apply alterations & maintain detailed fitting notes to ensure consistency in each client’s gown journey.

Assist in any hand sewing and quality control before final gown handover

Be comfortable on an industrial sewing machine - we have our own inhouse seamstress to do majority of the alterations but we will expect you to get on the machine for all urgent work

Maintain store cleanliness in accordance with brand guidelines, including completing any office and admin tasks required that is related to this

What We’re Looking For

Background in fashion design, garment construction, or patternmaking.

Experience in bridal, couture, or made-to-measure is preferred but not essential.

Strong attention to detail and understanding of patternmaking, fit and proportion.

Excellent communication skills and a calm, professional approach with clients.

Ability to work collaboratively with the showroom and production teams.
