About the role:

Capecare is seeking four passionate and experienced Cooks to join our hospitality team in providing exceptional meal services to residents across both our 110-bed, Busselton, and 80-bed, Dunsborough facilities.

Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for creating quality meals whilst creating a welcoming team environment and well-maintained space for our residents.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for experienced Cooks who are seeking a greater work-life balance, with Monday to Sunday AM & PM, family-friendly shifts between 6 am & 7 pm, and minimal after-hours requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional food services to residents while ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.

Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, resident dietary requirements, and portion control guidelines.

Follow all food safety standards as per the Food Safety Standards (Australia New Zealand) and the Aged Care Quality Standards.

Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including regular sanitisation of surfaces and equipment.

Comply with organisational policies, health regulations, and infection control procedures.

About You:

Previous experience as a Cook in an Aged Care setting is desirable but not essential.

Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery qualifications is preferred.

2 + years of demonstrated cooking experience are essential.

Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety practices in line with aged care standards.

Familiarity with the diverse dietary needs of an aged care facility is preferred.

Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team within a fast-paced environment.
