Taurus is a privately owned and operated specialist mining supplier with various clients around Australia.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking experienced Administrator who is also happy to learn the site Weighbridge. An urgent starter is preferred.

This position is fast paced and requires someone who can hit the ground running with limited supervision (after training)

The role is based in Mount Compass so you would need to live in southern suburbs. Due to fatigue management, we will not look to hire someone outside a 45 min drive to site.

Due to the location you will need your own vehicle as public transport is not available in this area.

About the Role

You daily duties may include:

Weighbridge operation - Ensuring a high number of Trucks are weighed and documented incoming and outgoing.

Manual Tasks required - Hosing down weighbridge & general tidy up.

Data entry in numerous spreadsheets

Supply and fuel orders

Handling incoming/outgoing correspondence

Maintaining plant & labour registers

Processing labour & plant timesheets

General administration duties

Reporting to Operations and Logistics Supervisors & Quarry Manager.

To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following;

Excellent communication skills.

Intermediate knowledge of word & excel

Experience with purchasing would be advantageous

Have proven administration experience within resource sector is highly regarded.

Be able to work autonomously.

Current Drivers licence with own transport.

A commitment to your own safety and those who work with you.

Successful candidates will also be required to pass a pre-employment medical drug & alcohol test.

What's in it for you:

This is a Mon to Fri position.

Hours of work are 6.00am - 2.30pm. These times cannot be negotiable due to the requirement to be around when the main part of the workforce is starting. There may be a requirement to work until 3.30pm from time to time.

Paid on the Quarrying Award. Above award rate and penalty rates apply.

This is a casual position but expected to have ongoing work and view to permanent in the future.
