Workfast are looking for Weighbridge Operators for a national quarry and landfill site in Bulla VIC.

Rate of pay $35.00 per hour plus superannuation

The rate of pay is $35.00 per hour base + Super & Overtime. This job is a casual position working on an ongoing basis. Candidates must have at least 1 year experience as a weighbridge operator. All candidates must have; White Cards, Drivers License and relevant qualifications for the position.

What you need

Minimum 2 years experience in an admin role

Mandalay Experience

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Excellent Verbal, listening and written communication skills

Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines

Customer facing experience preferred

Safety conscious

Experience on a weighbridge, or similar

Mining, civil construction or quarry experience, advantageous

What you will be doing

The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the weighbridge. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Administrative duties such as answering incoming calls, monitoring the general email inbox, greeting and authorising visitors to site and assisting with customer enquiries

Providing quotes and processing sales, liaising with the Account Manager as required

Coordinating transport into and out of the site

Liaising with drivers and directing them to the appropriate area of the site

Advising loader operators of product loading requirements

Operating the radio to communicate with other quarry workers

Processing outgoing and incoming vehicles

Accurately recording truck tare weights and managing this according to State and Federal legislation

Producing driver dockets

Effectively managing communication, documentation and all administration for the weighbridge

Producing reports as required
