NSW Fair Trading is on the lookout for a dynamic and innovative Senior Intelligence Analyst to join our forward-thinking Intelligence unit within the Regulatory Intelligence, Data Management, and Reporting Division.

About Us

Our Intelligence Unit is a highly motivated and specialist team dedicated to producing complex and sensitive intelligence products that identify high-risk regulatory and criminal activities. As part of NSW Fair Trading, we support investigations, prosecutions, and proactive operations to protect the NSW public, businesses, and communities.

Your Day-to-Day
-Intelligence and Analytical Products: Support high-risk consumer, business, and regulatory compliance activities across the organisation and to external stakeholders.
-Timely and Accurate Intelligence: Deliver outcomes-focused intelligence analysis to inform and influence decision-making on emerging trends/issues in high-risk industries.
-Technology Utilisation: Use data extraction software and data manipulation techniques to create intelligence products.
-Stakeholder Collaboration: Promote collaboration between internal and external stakeholders, especially within regulatory agencies, to achieve successful operational outcomes.
-Legislative Knowledge: Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant legislation to ensure intelligence guidance comply with legislative and regulatory requirements.

To Be Successful
-Analytical Expertise: Proficiency in using data extraction software and data manipulation techniques to create insightful intelligence products.
-Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance in intelligence and data analysis.
-Storytelling with Data: Can you use data to tell a story? Do you enjoy sifting through data and discovering better ways to interpret it? We need someone who can extract behavioural insights and present them in a compelling way.
-Creative Problem-Solving: We need bespoke analysts who can critically think about the data, write about it, and look for creative ways to impact the organisation based on what the data is telling us.

Essential Requirements
-It is a requirement of this role to obtain and hold baseline security clearance. For this purpose you must be an Australian Citizen.
-Criminal Record Check: Satisfactory criminal record check.
