Job Advertisement: Operations Supervisor – Schutz Yatala

Join our dynamic team at Schutz Yatala as we seek an experienced and passionate Operations Supervisor to elevate our manufacturing operations!

In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily production across three shifts. While your regular hours will be on the day shift, you will be required to attend one full afternoon shift and one full night shift per month to ensure effective leadership and continuity across all teams.

This is a salaried position and while most work will occur during standard hours, reasonable additional hours may be required to fulfill the responsibilities of the role. You’ll have the opportunity to lead, grow, and make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage daily operations across 3 shifts, ensuring optimal resource allocation and production flow.

Provide hands-on support during staff shortages to maintain continuity.

Manage production output system ensuring full accuracy.

Regularly reporting on achievement of production KPIs and reasons for deviation from these.

Approve weekly payroll and manage labour hire as needed.

Oversee compliance with workplace policies, safety standards, and Lean manufacturing principles.

Conduct training, provide coaching, and deliver performance management (including verbal and written warnings where necessary).

Foster engagement and communication across teams to drive performance and achieve KPIs.

Promote continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with HR and Safety teams.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within manufacturing or production.

Strong leadership and people management skills, including conflict resolution.

Excellent communication and a proactive, safety-first mindset.

Familiarity with Lean manufacturing is highly desirable.

Sound problem-solving skills and adaptability to dynamic environments.

Business Management or related qualification preferred.

Good computer literacy.

Valid forklift licence and driver’s licence.
