The Role

Reporting directly to the Group CEO and working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, the Head of Retail Operations is the heartbeat of our retail operations across Australia.

This is more than just managing stores—it’s about shaping the future of our brand across the East Coast and beyond. Interstate travel will be required as a part of the role as you craft and execute strategy, enhance the customer experience, drive a culture of service, accountability, and analysis and growth.

Day to Day Responsibilities

Leadership & Management – Lead and develop a high-performing retail team, fostering a work environment is fun but still manages to deliver to a high standard and drive growth.

Operational Excellence - Oversee all aspects of retail operations, inventory, staffing levels, training and standards. Develop and implement operational strategies to maximise efficiency, productivity, and profitability to established KPIs

Sales & Financial Management - Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth, including retail stores and multi-channel while managing budgets and controlling costs.

Marketing & Brand Management - Work closely with the marketing and NPD team to plan and execute promotional activities and campaigns that will support our brand awareness and customer sentiment. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.

Property & Leasing - Align with Executive & Property teams strategic direction of new site locations and roll out strategy, provide appropriate recommendations. Manage the property requirements of the store network including lease renewals, fit-out, de-fit, equipment upgrades maintenance and security.

Compliance & Safety - Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including food safety and public safety. Play and active role in managing the safety of the workforce in collaboration with the Safety Team and Quality Team.

Who You Are

Essential Experience:

10+ years in multi-site retail, FMCG, or hospitality operations (food industry experience highly regarded).

Executive-level leadership experience across national or multi-state retail environments.

Proven success managing P&L, store performance, and driving cultural change.

Experience with new site rollouts, franchise and company-owned structures, and team capability building.

Experienced in inventory and supply chain management, POS systems, retail analytics, and workforce planning.

Skills & Capabilities:

Exceptional problem-solver with the ability to distil vast amounts of information and to simplify complex issues.

Strategic thinker with strong execution and commercial acumen.

Confident communicator with presence at both store and boardroom level.

Organised, solutions-oriented, and cool under pressure.

Personal Traits:

Customer-obsessed and culture-driven.

Resilient, curious, and reliable with a strong sense of integrity.
