As the Management Accountant you will manage, support, and deliver on high quality management accounting, reporting, monitoring, analysis, and financial advice in a Public Sector and semi-commercial environment.
What you'll do
- Participate in, manage, and provide guidance to a team(s) to develop and deliver high quality and relevant financial reporting, analysis, advice, and support to key stakeholders through budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and information for management decision making.
- Develop a robust knowledge of, and provide client-focused financial services to, the relevant business (operational and capital) and associated key stakeholders to deliver your financial responsibilities.
- Develop your, and your team's, productive relationships across finance and their stakeholders in supporting robust financial management within and across the Divisions, communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure maintenance and integrity of data, financial systems, management tools, and reporting.
- Actively contribute to the improvement of business processes, systems, and management tools to enable service improvement of the team and deliver on stakeholder financial information requirements, where the outputs are timely, accurate, and meaningful.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills in the provision of financial services, including management accounting concepts, practices, and strategies; and, financial management legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills with the use and development of contemporary financial reporting practices, reporting fundamentals, and the understanding of financing, cost and revenue structures, drivers, and the relationship between each.
- Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills and experience to provide insight and assist decision making.
- Has excellent communication, negotiation, and consultation skills within a multidisciplinary workplace.
- Demonstrates organisational skills with the ability to manage a heavy workload, competing priorities, and the ability to meet deadlines and establish work priorities.
- Has advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to understand formula driven financial models and prepare data analysis and reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy and consistency. Financial analytics systems experience will be highly regarded.
Finance, or equivalent qualifications will be highly regarded.
