Are you a numbers whiz with a passion for making a real-world impact? An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced and driven Accountant to take the reins of a busy franchise office in the Newcastle area.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll own the full suite of financial operations – from bookkeeping and payroll to invoicing and reporting. You'll also be a key player in the team, contributing to business planning, process improvements, and keeping the engine of care running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Managing end-to-end processing of client accounts and invoicing;
• Preparing and posting monthly prepayment journals, along with other general ledger journals and accruals as required;
• Conducting daily bank reconciliations;
• Processing payroll in compliance with legislative requirements and internal policies;
• Driving improvements and helping shape internal processes.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll (Xero), and financial admin
• Experience in aged care, disability support, or in-home care is a big plus
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
