We are seeking a focussed, driven, detail orientated and can-do Dealership senior accounts/accountant to join our growing team.

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in leading automotive administration/accounting teams to deliver timely and accurate information,

Reporting to the Dealer Principal the successful applicant will come with a growth mindset and deliver on:

You will support the Financial Controller in providing strong accounting support to the dealership’s admin team. This will include the timely processing and reporting of key financial information.

The role will have you contributing to our team by performing the below:

All deal and month-end processing. Ensuring departmental P & L's are distributed in a timely manner and all accruals are managed.

Reconciliation of all controlled accounts.

With the support of a Financial Controller, preparation and submission of monthly BAS, Payroll Tax and annual FBT Return.

Managing the day-to-day administration responsibilities and ensuring departmental cohesion.

Completion of monthly manufacturers reporting & monthly financial reporting internally

Ensure accurate and timely execution of weekly Payroll and related responsibilities

Manage the preparation of year end reports

Assistance in ensuring the cohesive function of accounts payable and accounts receivable and effective performance of administration staff.

Someone with formal accounting qualifications and previous experience in an automotive Dealership Accountant or Assistant Accountant role will be highly valued.

Required Attributes, Skills, and Experience

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:

Qualifications - Formal accounting degree

Previous experience - Accounting role in a retail automotive dealership environment

Flexible with a can-do attitude - Able to prioritise and meet deadline requirements

Strong IT skills

Reliability - Team player with strong work ethic and good attendance record
