The company
We’ve partnered with a nationally recognised, listed commodities business in the midst of a major growth phase. With new projects on the horizon, they’re expanding their high-performing finance team and have created a new Accountant role to support both operational and strategic initiatives.

This is more than a BAU accounting role, it’s an opportunity to build depth across both financial and management accounting, get close mentorship from an impressive CFO, and gain exposure to board-level reporting. The role

Reporting into the CFO, you will be responsible for:

Oversee financial reporting, audits, tax, and compliance

Managing AP and AR

Financial analysis and risk management

Develop policies and ensure compliance obligations

Assist with budgeting and forecasting

Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and ensure smooth finance operations

Assist with the preparation of board reports

Ad hoc project work

About you

You are either CA or CPA qualified (or currently studying toward it) and bring experience from a commercial environment or are ready to make your first move from Public Practice, whether that's from Audit or Business Services. You’re confident across both financial and management accounting and enjoy the variety that comes with a hands-on role.

You're detail-oriented with a commercial mindset, naturally thinking about how the numbers drive business performance. You’re also a clear and open communicator who enjoys working as part of a collaborative, outcomes-focused team.
