Rate: $1,000 per day (incl. super)

About the Role
A leading Australian organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a critical payments transformation initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end delivery of payments-related projects, ensuring milestones are met.
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
• Engage and influence senior stakeholders, providing clear project updates and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, finance, and compliance, to ensure seamless delivery.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements within the payments space.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring successful outcomes.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience managing large-scale payments projects within banking, financial services, or corporate environments.
• Strong understanding of payments platforms, schemes, and regulations (e.g., NPP, SWIFT, ISO 20022, BPAY, Direct Entry).
• Expertise in project governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
• Strong Agile and/or hybrid project delivery experience.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills to manage diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
