The role:

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring project objectives are met within budget and timeline constraints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, business analysts, infrastructure specialists, and stakeholders, to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track project progress using appropriate project management tools and methodologies.
• Manage project risks and issues, proactively identifying and implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Facilitate communication and foster strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project quality, ensuring adherence to best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular project status updates and reports to stakeholders, including senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and accomplishments.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement, incorporating feedback into future project management practices.

The candidate:

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2
