Victoria University (VU) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Change Manager to lead transformative change initiatives that support the University’s digital and organisational evolution.

This is a full-time (36.75 hours per week), 2 year fixed-term position at HEP 9 ($128,446 – $133,636 per annum + 17% employer superannuation).

About the Role:

As Change Manager, you will drive the adoption of digital and organisational change across Victoria University. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, project managers, and key stakeholders to ensure change initiatives are effectively planned, communicated, and implemented across all campuses. You will:

Develop and lead the implementation of VU’s Change Management Framework for digital projects and initiatives.

Design and execute change, communication, and engagement plans that build support and momentum for transformation efforts.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure change activities are seamlessly integrated into project lifecycles.

Assess change impact and organisational readiness, and lead risk mitigation strategies.

Conduct training needs analyses and support the development of learning materials in partnership with subject matter experts.

Lead a Change Management Community of Practice and contribute to the continuous improvement of tools and resources.

Monitor and evaluate change effectiveness, using feedback to refine strategies and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

About You:

You are an experienced change professional who thrives in complex environments and can engage stakeholders at all levels with confidence and clarity. You bring:

Postgraduate qualifications or significant experience in change management, digital transformation, or a related field.

A proven track record of delivering enterprise-level change strategies that achieve high adoption and engagement.

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to secure executive sponsorship and foster cross-functional collaboration.

Deep understanding of change impacts and how to tailor strategies to meet organisational needs.

Expertise in developing and delivering communication, engagement, and training plans that support successful transitions.

Exceptional communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

A mindset geared towards innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
