Our Client, a large Federal Government Department is seeking to engage a Senior Risk Manager for a long term engagement. The position is an important team leadership position within the Agency and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail.

Responsibilities of the role include but may not be limited to:

• Performing PMO functions including program delivery and planning, governance and reporting, risk, assurance, budget, benefits, change management and resource planning;
• Developing and maintaining the CDoF Risk Management Plan, policies and procedures, actively managing and governing risks and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders;
• Providing specialist risk advisory services for the CDoF Program and portfolio of projects and workstreams including monitoring and reporting program risks, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, aligning with the Agency Risk Framework;
• Undertaking regular and systematic analysis of risk management, internal control and compliance and assurance information.

Essential criteria:

• Experience working in a fast-paced PMO environment supporting a large-scale projects/ program;
• Strong knowledge and application of project and program management methodology and techniques;
• Experience in development and maintaining of program and project risk processes and registers and assurance support;
• Experience in providing risk advice and reporting to relevant governance bodies including drafting of executive briefing papers. Demonstrated experience in analysis and investigation of emerging and identified risks and monitoring of controls and treatment activity.
