About the Role:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and execute communication strategies to support key priorities and activities.
  • Research, write, and edit content for various audiences across print, digital, and social media channels.
  • Utilise digital tools and visual media to enhance messaging and engagement.
  • Assess and refine communication strategies to improve audience reach and impact.
  • Collaborate with curatorial staff to develop compelling content that conveys artistic concepts.
  • Develop advertising strategies and oversee the creation of promotional materials.
  • Coordinate, promote, and manage public programs, including artist talks, panel discussions, and exhibition openings.

Selection Criteria:

  • A relevant degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline, with relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
  • Proven ability to plan, implement, and evaluate communications and engagement strategies, with demonstrated experience managing digital communication channels and web content.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organisation and produce clear, accurate, and timely materials for diverse audiences.
  • Creative problem-solving approach to communications challenges.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in the arts, cultural, or museum sector and/or the tertiary education sector.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours when required.
  • Experience working on or with Indigenous arts projects (desirable).

Role Requirements:

  1. As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
