The Town of Claremont is a progressive local government that was established in 1898 for the picturesque riverside suburbs of Claremont and Swanbourne. The Town of Claremont is seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Officer to drive digital growth and engagement and to further enhance the Town’s corporate image. Key responsibilities of the position include:

Assisting with the development of the Town’s social media strategy.

Producing timely and high-quality communications via the Town’s regular communication channels.

Maintaining, and continually improving the Town’s website.

Improving digital user experience (UX) and increasing digital customer engagement.

Incorporating reporting methodologies to evaluate social media engagement.

Coordinating marketing material and campaigns to promote the Town’s community events calendar

The successful candidate will have broad knowledge of digital communication tools and trends and have experience with successful digital marketing campaigns with strong writing skills. They will adapt at developing and managing content across social media, websites, newsletters, and other platforms, ensuring consistency and quality. They will be a team player and their core values will mirror the Town’s values of respect, integrity, quality communication and excellent customer service.
