About the role

Plateway Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and talented Junior Civil Engineer to join our team in our NSW office. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in the delivery of civil engineering projects across a range of exciting infrastructure developments.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with the design and documentation of civil engineering projects, including railway lines, drainage systems and other infrastructure.

Computer simulations of rail network operations including analysing data sets.

Conducting site inspections and surveys to gather data and assess project requirements.

Analysing design options and performing engineering calculations to develop robust solutions.

Preparing drawings, specifications and other technical documentation.

Supporting project management activities, including scheduling, budgeting and stakeholder engagement.

Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, standards and best practices.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a surveying subject.

1-3 years of relevant experience in civil/structural engineering, ideally gained within a consultancy or construction environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through complex technical challenges

Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, 12D, Civil 3D and Revit

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently as required

Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations and best practices
