The Student Advisor provides front-line customer service for the University, responding to inbound enquiries from prospective students and their parents, current students and members of the public.

About the Position
As the Student Advisor, you will be responsible for responding to inbound enquires from prospective and current students as well as members of the public while maintaining outstanding customer service.
The Student Advisor is also required to review and implement continuous improvement of policies, processes, systems and work practices as well as delivering against an annual schedule of operation deadlines.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

• Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of Year 12 and/or Certificate IV in a nationally accredited qualification.
• Written communication skills, with the ability to respond to enquiries in writing and liaise with other teams across the University on sometimes complex cases.
• High level verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex processes or regulations, to provide clear information to customers and to communicate effectively and constructively with staff.
• Experience working in a team of customer service staff (in the vocational or higher education sector preferred), including collaborating to achieve shared goals.
• An outstanding commitment to customer-service for internal and external customers, delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
• Additional Competencies for Professional Level 5
• Completion of a Degree without subsequent work experience/completion of an Advanced Diploma Qualification and at least one (1) years’ experience/completion of a Diploma qualification and at least two (2) years’ experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education or training
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of processes and practices and actively providing mentoring and training to colleagues.
• Track record in delivering best practice customer outcomes against a schedule of deadlines, with personal drive and self-motivation.
• Advanced level of technical proficiency in administrative systems and platforms, including the use of large corporate databases, MSOffice software and contact centre solutions.
• Desirable competencies
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the regulatory requirements for the operation of a customer service team in a dual sector University environment.
• Experience in contact centre improvement projects or programs of work.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 4 - 5. The base salary will be in the range of $67,800 - $84,914 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $79,326 - $99,349 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
