The role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients across various industries
- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for a range of entity types
- Assisting senior accountants and managers with tax and business advisory work
- Delegating tasks and reviewing work completed by junior staff
- Providing guidance and oversight to graduates as part of your leadership development
- Contributing to advisory services tailored to the needs of your client base
What they are looking for:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Australian Public Practice
- CA or CPA qualified, or progressing towards completion
- Proficiency in Xero (essential) and MYOB (preferred)
- Familiarity with Australian tax legislation including Div 7A, CGT, FBT, and general compliance
- Experience managing or preparing reports for large group structures
- Payroll experience (advantageous)
- High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Intermediate IT proficiency, including MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- A proactive, self-starting attitude and commitment to client service excellence.
