Our client is a highly respected business advisory firm with a national presence, renowned for delivering outstanding service. They are seeking a talented and ambitious Senior Accountant to join their dynamic Business Services and Advisory team in Perth.

Your Role & Responsibilities:
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing relationships and delivering comprehensive services to a diverse client base (including Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and Individuals). Your role will encompass:

• Compliance Excellence: Preparing and reviewing financial statements, income tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT returns, and payroll tax obligations accurately and efficiently.
• Value-Add Advisory: Partnering with clients to provide proactive tax planning strategies, analysing financial performance to offer actionable business insights, and assisting with forecasting and growth planning.
• Client Relationship Management: Acting as a primary point of contact, building trust, and delivering exceptional service to nurture long-term client relationships.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertly utilising accounting software including Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and practice management tools like APS.
• Team Contribution & Mentorship: Actively participating in team development, sharing knowledge, and assisting in the training and mentoring of junior accountants.
• Growth Mindset: Identifying opportunities to enhance services for existing clients and representing the firm professionally.

About You:
We are looking for a motivated professional with a strong foundation in Business Services and a desire to grow their advisory capabilities. You will ideally possess:

• Strong technical proficiency in preparing financial statements and tax returns for various entities.
• A solid understanding of current Australian accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Demonstrated expertise using cloud accounting platforms (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and ideally APS.
• Exposure to tax planning strategies and advisory concepts.
• (Knowledge of superannuation is advantageous but not essential).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive and client-focused approach.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years' experience within Business Services in an Australian public practice accounting firm.
• Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with CA or CPA qualification completed or well underway.
