City of Gold Coast manages eight cemeteries across the City, and this role will be part of a team providing a vital and valued service to the community.

About your new role

We're seeking team members who are deeply committed to our community and passionate about delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards in cemetery venue presentation.

As part of our cemeteries operational team, you'll have the unique opportunity to work across all our city-run cemeteries along the coast. In this outdoor role, daily tasks will vary, but you will primarily assist with memorials and the mounting/installation of plaques. You will also maintain the cleanliness of the surrounding environment.

As the next Cemetery Grounds Worker, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring our facilities meet community standards, making every day diverse and rewarding.

We're looking for people who have:

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Sensitivity to diverse cultural perspectives on death and grief and are comfortable working in a cemetery environment

You must be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions to a tight timeframe
