About the role -

We have immediate start opportunities for experienced and highly motivated Casual Support Workers to assist people living with disability, and people who are ageing across the Townsville area. You will be joining a great team providing support to people in their homes, and in their communities to live a life of their choosing.

You will assist both men and women with maintaining their independence, their homes, and with accessing their communities. This will include support with:

• Making and maintaining community connections
• Managing and maintaining health needs
• Personal Care, including bathing, grooming, and toileting
• Scheduling and attending appointments and social events
• Meal planning and preparation
• Transport
• Participation in recreational activities
• Shopping
• Cleaning and other domestic duties
• Light gardening and minor yard maintenance

Must haves -

• A relevant qualification (or studying towards) in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience in supporting people living with a disability, or people who are ageing
• A clean reliable vehicle, and a current Australian driver’s licence
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and maintain the vaccination status as per the Queensland Government Direction

To be a successful candidate you must have, and maintain the following:

• Verification of work rights in Australia
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• National Police Check
• First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Blue Card
• Queensland Drivers License
