Morgan McKinley is supporting a Global Insurance Firm as they look to build out their Property Claims Team with a number of roles. The purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality outcomes on medium to large Commercial Property claims.

This involves proactive and professional engagement with customers and brokers, and the effective investigation, reserving, and adjustment of claims. The company is based in North Sydney and offers a supportive team environment and hybrid working.

Please note, this is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end handling of medium to large Commercial Property claims for a diverse set of clients.
• Conduct thorough investigations, including potential fraud, ensuring accurate documentation and timely reserve establishment.
• Evaluate damage and quantum, negotiate settlements, and liaise with brokers, customers, and service providers to build strong relationships.
• Adhere to the General Insurance Code of Practice, AFSL obligations and internal best practices.
• Manage workloads, respond to queries and escalations promptly and report significant claims internally, ensuring compliance and efficient claim resolution.

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Law and relevant industry qualifications (ANZIIF or working towards).
• Prior proven experience in property claims handling
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in claim resolution and work effectively within a team.
