We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Retail Manager to join our team at APNA DESI INDIAN GROCERY, located at 1-5/120 Spencer St, Melbourne VIC 3000. Our store is known for offering a wide variety of authentic Indian groceries, spices, and household goods. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and a rich cultural shopping experience.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Store Operations Management: Oversee daily store operations, including inventory control, stock rotation, product display, and cleanliness.

Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage retail staff; schedule shifts and monitor performance to ensure excellent service delivery.

Customer Service: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing helpful, courteous service and resolving any customer concerns efficiently.

Sales & Promotions: Plan and implement promotional strategies to drive sales and improve customer engagement.

Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, manage cash flow, maintain records of sales and stock levels, and report on performance to management.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure the store complies with all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.

Qualifications:

Proven experience of at least 2 years in a similar retail management role.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of Indian grocery products and cultural preferences (preferred).

Experience with inventory software and POS systems.
