About the role

The Friendly Grocer in Baradine is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Manager to join our team. As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store located in Baradine. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in ensuring the store runs efficiently and provides an exceptional customer experience.

What you'll be doing

Manage and lead a team of retail associates, including scheduling, training, and performance management

Oversee all store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and loss prevention

Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the overall store performance

Ensure the store is compliant with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies

Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement

Collaborate with the head office to implement corporate initiatives and best practices

Analyse store data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and make data-driven decisions

What we're looking for

Minimum of 1 years of experience in a retail management role, preferably in the grocery or food retail industry

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking abilities

Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, inventory control, and cost management

Exceptional customer service orientation and a passion for providing a positive customer experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders

Familiarity with retail systems and technologies, including point-of-sale (POS) and inventory management software

A team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement
