An opportunity exists at Leeton Shire Council for a skilled and motivated Marketing and Promotions Coordinator to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving strategic marketing initiatives to elevate the profile of Council programs, services, and events.

The primary purpose of the position:

Responsible for planning and executing marketing campaigns on behalf of Leeton Shire Council in order to promote Leeton Shire as an attractive and welcoming place to visit, invest, do business, live and raise a family.

Responsible for overseeing the Visitor Information Centre

The successful applicant will possess high level diplomacy skills and experience establishing and maintaining strong relationships with major stakeholders including at all levels within government, the business community and media. A Degree or an appropriate tertiary qualification in marketing, advertising or communications or other relevant area with a minimum of five (5) years’ work experience is essential. A sound knowledge and experience in the use of computer multimedia systems and social media and understanding of integrated planning and reporting is also required, together with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must also have a current Class C driving licence.

Salary and Conditions: A salary of between $90,490.40 to $101,352.68 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation will be offered (depending on qualifications and experience). This permanent position is 35 hours per week, with a monthly rostered day off. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.

Prior to commencement the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Pre-Employment Functional Assessment which includes an Alcohol and Other Drug Screening.

On commencement, the successful applicant is also required to provide evidence of being fully Covid-19 vaccinated.
