Millies Fish & Chips is on the lookout for a dedicated and driven Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to oversee our kitchen operations during weekends and public holidays. This is a full-time leadership role perfect for someone who thrives under pressure, leads from the front, and takes pride in delivering consistently high-quality food and service.

What You’ll Do

Lead and manage weekend/public holiday kitchen shifts

Supervise kitchen crew and ensure smooth, efficient service

Maintain food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards

Handle prep schedules, inventory control, and stock rotation

Ensure strict allergen management and food safety compliance

Train and support junior staff to develop a strong kitchen culture

Communicate clearly with the front-of-house and management team

Minimise waste and help manage food costs

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager role

Strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills

Experience in high-volume, fast-paced kitchens

Solid knowledge of food safety and allergen protocols (experience with gluten-free a bonus)

Reliable and committed to weekend and public holiday availability

Cool under pressure with a hands-on leadership style
