The Drafting Shed is a locally run building design and drafting company. Since 2013, we’ve been producing architectural drawings for residential projects across the Gold Coast to Sunshine Coast, with a focus on new homes for volume builders.

Position Overview:
You will be responsible for producing concept, preliminary, and working drawings for single, double, and split-level homes, including new builds, renovations, unit/townhouse developments, and NDIS projects. You’ll work to strict deadlines and collaborate closely with our team to deliver high-quality designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce detailed architectural drawings using Revit.

Work on a variety of residential projects (new homes, renovations, unit/townhouses).

Ensure compliance with local regulations (NCC, QDC, Councils, etc.).

Maintain high attention to detail and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills:

Revit expert with experience in architectural design.

Strong drafting skills with a focus on residential projects.

Immaculate attention to detail and a passion for building design.

Knowledge of local building regulations (BCA, QDC, etc.).

Familiarity with NDIS and AS1428 is a plus.

Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to think outside the box.

Prior experience in a similar role is essential, with the ability to hit the ground running. However, we’re also open to recent TAFE or university graduates seeking an entry-level draftsperson position.
