About the role

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Draftsperson to join our team at Moorabbin Marble and Granite in Moorabbin, Victoria. We specialise in manufacturing and installation of marble benchtops. As an AutoCAD Draftsperson, you will play a vital role in producing DWG and DXF for our CNC machines, transforming paper measurements to real life physical benchtops. Your skills will be critical in supporting the company's projects get off the ground.

This is a full-time position based in our Moorabbin office.

What you'll be doing

Preparing 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings and designs for a range of building services and projects by transferring paper measurements or measuring templates and transferring them into AutoCAD.

Collaborating with project managers, builders, and our drafting team to understand project requirements and translate them into detailed CAD drawings

Ensuring all drawings and designs adhere to relevant industry standards, building codes, and company policies

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation

Continuously improving drafting processes and techniques to enhance efficiency and quality

What we're looking for

Preferred at least 1 year of experience as an AutoCAD Draftsperson, preferably in the Building Services Engineering industry

Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and other relevant design software

Strong understanding of building services engineering principles.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and well-documented technical drawings

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with project teams

Enthusiasm for continuous learning and process improvement
