Our client is a large organisation based on the Sunshine Coast. They are currently looking for a Security Analyst to join their team for an initial 12-month contract position.

Your responsibilities in this role will include the following:

Provide technical security expertise in relation to the design, planning, integration and implementation of appropriate security initiatives with reference to Queensland Government Essential 8 and the international framework ISO27001

Provide security expertise in relation to auditing, monitoring and logging toolsets

Evaluate, compare, and support the implementation and integration of cybersecurity tools

Analyse and develop strategies and solutions that enable program initiatives to be achieved across the branch, while managing and reducing cybersecurity risks.

Involved in the development and implementation of security policies and design and configure technology controls to ensure that the organisations information assets are protected

Involved in Cybersecurity audit activities to ensure ongoing compliance to legislation.

Educate and mentor staff regarding contemporary cybersecurity risks

Provide Technical security lead with key responsibilities for ensuring the success of the Cybersecurity Program

Provide technical security leadership with external and internal cybersecurity audits.

Act as an internal consultant to senior management on information security issues.

Provide expert advice, guidance and solutions to relevant stakeholders in security management and reducing risk

Key Experience

Professional certifications and/or significant industry experience in cybersecurity

Experience with email security protocols and processes,

Experience with Netskope and Crowdstrike

Experience supporting the design, implementation and management of a broad range of Cyber security tooling

Experience supporting the design, implementation and management of Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) toolsets

Design, implementation and management of zero trust platforms

Experience implementing cybersecurity improvements to meet Essential 8 and ISO27001 recommendations,

Principals and actions required to secure cloud-based applications and virtual environments; and,

Design, implementation and ongoing management of an Information Security Management System (ISMS).

You must also have strong communication skills with particular emphasis in the areas of building effective relationships. This coupled with strong research, analytical problem solving and evaluation skills with the capacity to examine complex problems and develop innovative strategies for their resolution to a diverse client base. You will also require a Current “C” Class Drivers License. We have a maximum rate of $85.60 per hour plus super. This is a hybrid position; it is expected that you will work in the Sunshine Coast offices 2-3 days per week.
