The Cyber Threat and Vulnerability Management Section (CVT) within this Department has a requirement for up to (2x) labour hire resources to undertake the role of Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to deliver Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) at scale and to meet all customer requirements. The analyst resources will enable CVT to pursue delivery of the following:

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Collection and enrichment of threat information reported by external sources to drive hunt and red-team activities;
• Dynamic threat actor profiling and emerging threat analysis;
• Enriched vulnerability assessment and remediation prioritisation; and
• Threat modelling to inform governance and assurance activities.

Skills and experience:

• Previous experience in CTI or operational cyber security roles, including application of CTI frameworks and methodologies such as the MITRE attack framework and STRIDE threat modelling.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse large and complex datasets to extrapolate relationships and trends to support intelligence judgements.
• Competence with security technologies (e.g., SIEMs, ASM and Threat Intelligence Platforms).
