About the role
As a part of our Commercial team, the Business Analyst plays a key role in focusing on enterprise agreements and modern award classifications and rates of pay, ensuring compliance with remuneration obligations, providing data-driven insights, and assisting in the analysis and implementation of remuneration initiatives to support a fair and equitable workplace in line with legislation and organisational goals.
Additionally, the position contributes to commercial and operational reporting and supports the broader team with analytical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with minimum award and enterprise agreement rate obligations, including accurate application of rate increases and adjustments.
- Providing Commercial/Operational reporting and analysis support including but not limited to forecast, budget and other analysis as requested.
- Manage and monitor allowance processes in line with business needs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with enterprise agreements.
- Manage and monitor over-award pay rates to ensure consistency and compliance with organisational policies and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, including Payroll, HR, and People & Culture Business Partners to ensure accurate and efficient remuneration processes.
- Providing various scenario costing for any changes with minimum award or enterprise agreement
- Assist in the development of remuneration policies and procedures that align with best practices and organisational objectives
- Perform regular audits and analyses of remuneration practices to ensure they align with industry standards and legislative requirements.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a Business Analyst role or Remuneration and Benefits role with reporting and analytical experience within a large and complex organisation
- Advanced data and analytic skills including advanced experience with MS Excel
- Demonstrated experience interpreting Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, Awards, and legislation is preferrable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
