The Sydney Symphony Orchestra is an orchestra of world standing and one of the leading orchestras in the Asia-Pacific region. The Sydney Symphony performs approximately 150 concerts each year to an annual audience of more than 350,000. The Orchestra not only performs core symphonic repertoire but engages in collaborations with other art forms and commissions new works by Australian and international composers to ensure the vibrancy of orchestral music for generations to come. The Marketing Coordinator is a key support role in the Growth Marketing team. The role assists in the execution of marketing campaigns, content coordination and administrative duties. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, they help to ensure the smooth operation of marketing activity across various channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the implementation of marketing campaigns to drive ticket sales and audience engagement across digital, print and broadcast channels.
Coordinate marketing materials and assets, ensuring timely delivery for campaign deadlines.
Update and maintain marketing calendars, tracking deadlines and deliverables.
Assist in campaign performance tracking by compiling reports and gathering audience insights.
Liaise with external stakeholders and partners to manage timelines, deliver assets and facilitate approvals.
Provide administrative support including processing invoices, coding credit card statements and compiling receipts, budget tracking and recording meeting minutes as required by working with internal stakeholders.
Stay up to date with industry trends and insights to guide best practices and continually innovate strategies.
Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1-2 years of marketing experience preferably in the arts, entertainment or cultural sector.
Tertiary qualification in marketing, business, communications or a related field is preferred.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise work based on deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong work ethic and a team player.
Basic knowledge of marketing principles and digital platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams).
A passion for working in the arts and an interest in classical music.

WHAT WE OFFER
Salary $65,000 - $75,000 plus superannuation plus annual leave loading
