Are you experienced in Work Health and Safety (WHS) and keen to make a positive impact in the Community Services space? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to step into our WHS Coordinator position.

The Role:

As our WHS Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining robust WHS systems and processes to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. You will provide leadership and guidance on WHS matters, fostering a culture of safety excellence and compliance with legislative requirements. This role offers the chance to be part of 45 programs across Communicare, supporting and partnering with leaders to ensure their programs and staff remain safe in everything they do.

This position will be offered on a permanent full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight.

Selection Criteria

Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such Workplace Health and Safety or a related discipline

Relevant experience in a similar role, with demonstrated experience in development, maintenance and improvement of workplace health and safety initiatives, systems and programs

Advanced communication, problem-solving skills and organisational skills.

Advanced computer, numeracy and literacy.

Ability to establish good working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Knowledge and understanding of current WHS legislation and contemporary practices and procedures.

Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date)

Unrestricted drivers’ licence
