About the role
Join NT Health’s East Arnhem team in a vital role supporting regional emergency management (EM) and work health and safety (WHS) compliance. This position provides high-level advice and coordination to ensure the region is prepared for emergency events and maintains a safe and compliant workplace aligned with legislation and NT Health policies.
Lead regional coordination of emergency preparedness and WHS compliance
Provide expert guidance to managers and staff on WHS strategies and solutions
Maintain business continuity planning across the East Arnhem Regional Health Service
Support inter-agency coordination during emergency events and monitor situational reporting tools
Foster collaborative relationships to enhance safety and emergency response outcomes
Coordinate and deliver training in emergency and aggression management procedures
Ensure documentation, planning, and advice meets high legislative and operational standards
Skills & Experience
Essential
Demonstrated experience coordinating emergency management and WHS systems in large organisations
Strong knowledge of legislation relating to EM and WHS
Ability to independently draft, review and finalise high-quality documentation, plans and procedures
Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills across diverse groups
Proactive problem-solver with sound judgement and ability to recommend effective solutions
Skilled in managing complex situations, prioritising tasks, and contributing to operational planning
Experience delivering WHS, emergency management, and business continuity training
Desirable
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience in emergency management and WHS
