Are you a quality driven individual with a passion for compliance? Join Sunwater as a Governance Advisor, where you’ll play a vital role in support the Paradise Dam alliance with governance requirements and supporting Alliance Senior Leadership forums and Sunwater Owner’s team contributing forums. You'll be part of Sunwater’s owners’ team, providing advice, support, and value-added services to the business in governance, risk management and compliance.

As a Governance Advisor at Sunwater, you will:

  • Provide governance support, record keeping and secretariat services to Alliance Leadership Team and Sunwater.
  • Monitor and maintain project governance associated reports, systems and documentation in accordance with the requirements of Sunwater and the Project Alliance.
  • Support preparation of owner’s requirements that provide Sunwater the tools and governance to Control, Monitor, Report and Manage, project objectives and risks.
  • Analyse current status of project governance processes and information environment and assist with improvements to meet Sunwater’s current and future business needs.
  • Update and maintain relevant registers and required business processes relevant to both Sunwater and the Project Alliance.

We are seeking a talented individual with a proven track record in the development of reporting and compliance documentation for Alliance, Boards and/or committees in government or consulting to government environment. You will hold tertiary qualifications in governance / assurance or related discipline or have 5 + years’ experience in a governance and/or compliance related role. You will also bring:

  • Process management expertise: Experience updating and maintaining relevant registers and required business processes relevant to both Sunwater and the Project Alliance
  • Technical acumen: Provide technical expertise on governance requirements and promote a common understanding of Sunwater’s risk and compliance processes and associated information assets
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication skills with a knack for writing and presenting quality reports and findings to senior leadership, including the Board and executive leadership team

This role is offered initially as 24-month fixed term assignment and has an array of attractive benefits including:

  1. Base salary starting from $122,994
  2. 12.75% superannuation
