About the Role
The Australian Institute of Management (AIM) is seeking a results-driven Regional Sales Director to lead revenue growth and expand our market presence. In this key leadership role, you will manage a high-performing sales team focused on delivering innovative learning solutions to enterprise clients. You’ll bring a strong background in B2B sales—ideally within the education or learning and development sector—with a deep understanding of corporate HR practices and adult learning principles.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with proven experience in sales operations, including the optimisation of sales processes and driving CRM adoption and compliance. You’ll be both a motivational leader and a trusted client partner, ensuring AIM’s solutions align with our customers' business and learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead & coach a team of 6–10 sales professionals to achieve revenue, retention, and growth targets
Drive proactive pipeline and territory planning to identify new business and strategic partnerships
Provide expert support on enterprise, relationship-based sales & customer engagement strategies
Oversee accurate sales forecasting and CRM best practices to support data-driven decisions
Guide and support pre- and post-sale account management activities
Collaborate with marketing on targeted campaigns and industry events
Support onboarding of new hires and champion ongoing sales training and development
Build tailored development, promotion, and retention plans for team members
Own and optimize sales processes to increase efficiency and reduce friction
Deliver regular and ad hoc reporting to the Head of Sales Enterprise
About you
3+ years in sales leadership and 6+ years as a high-performing individual contributor
Proven track record of leading teams to meet or exceed sales targets
Strong sales acumen with excellent negotiation, qualification, and pipeline management skills
Empathetic, coaching-style leader with experience developing and mentoring teams
Skilled in sales operations, including process optimisation and driving CRM compliance
Collaborative, with demonstrated success working cross-functionally
Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills
Proficient in Salesforce for managing pipeline, forecasting, reporting, and dashboards
Post-secondary education preferred
