The Role
In the role of Project Support Officer, you will contribute to the efficient delivery of the North Queensland Region's contribution to the Queensland Transport and Roads Infrastructure Program (QTRIP) through the utilisation of a broad range of computer software programs and information management systems and databases to provide high level frontline support to project managers and/or team members, ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation, organisational policies and procedures.
Some of your responsibilities will include (including, but not limited to, please see role description for further details):
• Provide a high level of administrative support to manage, maintain and ensure the delivery of a range of support activities including:
* Capture information and enter in the appropriate records management system(s)
* Ensure entry and accuracy of all program and project data into relevant systems
* Undertake initial reviews of permit applications and where reasonable provide recommendations of permit requirements (for example, extension of time, renewals, etc).
• Ensure tasks are completed within specific deadlines and in accordance with the operational standards and processes, such as:
* Third Party Works (Road Corridor Permits (RCP), Public Utility Plant, Traffic Control Permits)
* Development Applications
* Property Searches
* Assessing roadside signage applications
* Resumptions, Native Title and Road Dealings.
• First point of contact for external stakeholders, in relation to third party works or activities within a state-controlled road corridor.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• A current Class ‘C' Drivers Licence
• Pre-employment checks, including a criminal history screening and declaration of serious discipline history will be required to be completed.
• Must be eligible to work in Australia.
