About the Role
Are you keen to gain base level project management experience working with some key stakeholders both inside and outside CFA? This fixed term Project Support Officer role may give you the opportunity to do just that.
This role is part of a small team responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the successful Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program (VESEP), which has been in existence for over 15 years and provides critical equipment and support capability to CFA's Volunteer brigades.
Reporting to the VESEP Project Coordinator, the Project Support Officer will provide efficient and effective business administrative support to the VESEP Project Coordinator, VESEP Project Managers from Land & Building Services, Fleet and Protective Equipment and the Manager Infrastructure Planning to support successful delivery of the annual grants program.
The VESEP team within Infrastructure Services Directorate is responsible for the management of the annual grants program supporting CFA volunteers with the delivery of approved Tankers, Specialist Vehicles, Equipment, Amenities, and Minor Works projects supporting CFA's emergency service delivery to protect the Victorian community.
About You
The person we are looking for will possess well developed written and verbal communication skills to provide effective, efficient and comprehensive administration support along with the ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ideally you will have demonstrated experience in providing project support services whilst being able to work independently and think outside the box.
Crucial to your success in this role will be your expertise in utilising financial information management systems (SAP Finance preferred) along with your understanding of CFA and its structures.
In addition, you will have:
- Strong computer literacy skills, particularly in Microsoft Office programs (Access, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint).
- Well-developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet tight work demands.
- Superior organisational and time-management skills with an ability to manage and coordinate a range of office functions and projects and working with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
