About the Role:
Our client is a highly successful family business who has been in operation for over 50 years and provides flexible packaging options to a variety of FMCG businesses across Australia & NZ. Their professionalism, high quality workmanship and excellent customer service, has seen them grow to become one of the leading suppliers of food protection packaging to the food processing industry.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a confident, energetic, self-motivated Key Account Business Development Manager, who will be responsible for managing and servicing the Victoria territory. This is a busy sales-focused role, where you will be visiting and building relationships with new and existing customers, managing customer enquiries and identifying and securing new business opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in the flexible packaging industry ideally within the FMCG sector. In addition you will need to have excellent communication skills, a problem-solving mindset and be able to demonstrate your sales success and ability to hit targets and KPI’s. This will be an autonomous role, working from your home office and reporting into the Head Office in QLD.

Duties:
- Manage and develop strategic relationships with key accounts across the Victorian Territory, ensuring exceptional service and identifying new revenue opportunities.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with strategic objectives.
- Develop and execute effective call plans to maximise field presence.
- Provide regular customer performance reporting and analysis to senior management.
- Ensure accurate & timely CRM management and reporting.
- Undertake regular multi-night/overnight travel within the assigned territory.
- Perform site inventory audits, implement product trials and facilitate/coordinate new product transitions.
- Develop a thorough understanding of key client needs and requirements through analysis of sales reports.
Skills and Experience:
- Sound experience and/or knowledge of the flexible packaging industry
- Strong B2B sales skills, with the ability to build & foster long-term relationships
- Highly driven, with the ability to consistently meet and exceed targets
- Be able to plan and manage your own appointments and schedules
- Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Strong commercial acumen and accountability, with the ability to analyse data and make data driven decisions
- Sound computer skills including MS Office and CRM systems
- Current drivers licence
- Be available to travel extensively throughout your Territory
- Excellent time management & organizational skills
