About The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will work with our broker partners and referrers to deliver deals that meet the company’s credit policy. The role requires a combination of relationship management skills to nurture existing referrers as well as genuine development and prospecting skills to uncover new opportunities.
More specifically the role requires:
Managing relationships by regularly meeting with existing brokers & referrers.
Identifying and prospecting for new referral opportunities.
Training new referrer partners on our offer and unique selling points.
Work-shopping potential transactions with referrers (via phone, email and in-person) to qualify deal suitability.
Managing a pipeline of deals from application to settlement.
Communicating with referrers to obtain information required for deals.
Working autonomously as well as part of the broader sales team.
Liaising with different internal departments (application processing, credit, settlements) to achieve desired outcomes.
Who We Are Looking For
Well-presented sales professionals with outstanding communication skills and a positive attitude.
Proven track record of business development and relationship management.
Detail focused with the ability to quickly qualify opportunities.
Results driven individuals that are motivated by sales targets.
Ability to work autonomously with excellent time management skills.
Minimum 3+ years’ sales experience with a proven history of meeting targets & managing the full sales cycle.
Existing finance acumen would be beneficial but not essential.
