As a member of our IT Support Team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality support services to staff and students.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Providing on-site and remote IT support, including software installation and troubleshooting
- Assisting users with connecting to Curtin’s wireless network
- Installing and updating Curtin-supported software such as Microsoft Office, EndNote, and OneDrive
- Troubleshooting printing issues and supporting platforms like OASIS and Blackboard
- Helping users with multi-factor authentication (MFA) resets
- Supporting the IT Service Desk and Campus Technology teams with overflow queries
- Logging and escalating IT incidents and requests
- Assisting students in open access labs and guiding them to the right services
- Managing support requests for teaching and meeting venues, including AV equipment audits
- Offering basic support during on-campus events and for urgent AV-related issues
What We’re Looking For:
A combination of technical know-how and excellent interpersonal skills.
Technical Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting abilities across hardware, software, and networks
- Experience with installing and managing software (e.g., Office, EndNote, OneDrive)
- Understanding of wireless network connectivity support
- Familiarity with OASIS, Blackboard, and printing systems
- Knowledge of MFA processes and AV equipment basics
- Experience with IT service management and incident escalation
Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong customer service orientation
- Good problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Adaptability and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective time management and multitasking
Role Requirements:
- Current Australian Working Rights
- Willing to undertake a National Police Clearance, background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
