The Client

Our client is a fast-growing consultancy business with domestic and international locations. Situated in Melbourne's inner city, they have a dedicated track record of client satisfaction, referred business and innovative solutions. Along with some Work from Home flexibility, they have parking provided on-site for all staff.

Due to a continued period of growth and success they are seeking a talented, junior accounting professional to join their team and assist with a diverse range of responsibilities. As this is a newly-created position they are open to immediate or short-notice starts.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Bank reconciliations and assisting with month-end closing duties.
• Maintaining and reconciling trust accounts, processing rental payments.
• Overseeing Fixed Asset management, as well as generating and review invoice reports.
• AP Management including verifying and processing supplier invoices, executing AP runs and managing staff expenses.
• Producing and analysing reports to provide accurate insights into activity.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role you should be:

• Degree-qualified in Accounting or a related field - CA/CPA qualification is preferred, but non-essential.
• A strong communicator with confidence to autonomously engage with senior leadership.
• Able to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks and completing them autonomously.
• A strong user of Excel - additional experience in Xero, SAP or Projectworks is highly regarded.
