About Us:
United Fuel Injection and Turbo Charger Sales & Service have been an industry leading workshop for over 45 years. As our name suggests we specialise in diesel fuel injection and turbo chargers, encompassing our light automotive, heavy diesel, turbocharger and performance departments. We pride ourselves on our customer service and our drive to ensure we maintain long lasting relationships with customers.
Our workshop is unique in that we are one of the only workshops in the state who exclusively specializes in diesel fuel injection across all makes and models of light automotive vehicles. We pride ourselves in our ability to help the customer when others are unable to. Our specialist diagnostic reputation is something we strive to uphold.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced service advisor to join our Performance team. We are looking for someone with relevant experience as a service advisor, someone that enjoys speaking with customers and understands the issues and terminology that is associated with vehicles being repaired in the workshop. The workshop has approximately 3-5 staff members on the floor, including apprentices and mechanics. The office consists of 2 service advisors.
The goal of this position is to be the customers point of contact for booking vehicles in for upgrades, repair and diagnosis. Along with this comes the sales of our performance pumps, injectors, turbos and fans. The ideal candidate will be mechanically minded, organised, good with customer service, while also possessing the skills necessary to confidently call a customer and talk through an issue when needed.
Day to day tasks include:
- Answering calls and emails from customers
- Creating job cards for vehicles that have been dropped off
- Organising staff based on jobs that are booked in
- Organising staff based on parts that have come in
- Booking in customers for diagnosis and or repair
- Liaising with mechanics and workshop foreman about jobs being done
- Calling customers to obtain more information or talk through an issue that has been found
- Ordering parts when necessary
- Sales for injectors, pumps, turbos and various supporting parts
- Data entry (entering purchased parts into the system)
About you:
You will probably describe yourself as someone who thrives under pressure and loves a challenge. You are proactive in your approach and prefer to focus on the “big picture” rather than minor details. While you are very decisive in your decision making, you can easily adapt and change your approach when the situation changes. You enjoy problem solving and work well when you are able to be in control of the situation. You enjoy working at a fast pace, preferring to make those tough decisions resulting in the job being done in a timely manner, rather than pondering and letting it drag out. You are direct and to the point, preferring to focus on the task at hand.

What you must have to apply for this role:
- Mechanical knowledge is mandatory.
- Current drivers license (C class minimum, manual essential).
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Outlook as a minimum).
- Good understanding of mechanical principals.
- High drive to learn and master new skills.
- Stable transport to and from work, punctuality is essential.
- Ability to speak to customers.
- Good time management skills.
