Join Our Team at ARC Justice!
Join our team as the Regional Housing Collaboration - Project Lead and be at the forefront of driving housing equity in regional communities. You will guide all six regional community legal services in working with their partner organisations and communities to identify problems and develop solutions to how regional renters and those experiencing or at risk of homelessness access the support they require.
About Us:
We’re ARC Justice, a non-profit dedicated to providing free legal help to those who need it most while working on system improvements and law reform. Our goal is to ensure everyone has access to justice, especially those experiencing disadvantage. We’re a passionate team making a real difference in our community.
About the role:
You will play a pivotal role in improving access to coordinated services that support renters and those at risk of homelessness. You will lead a project that includes six Housing Collaboration Coordinators - one at each regional community legal centre - together with an Impact and Evaluation Lead. The project will collaborate with regional community organisations to identify improvements to the existing system supporting renters and propose improvements for a more equitable system.
The coordinators will work with stakeholders across Victoria to explore system redesign. Service and policy solutions will inform a Regional Housing Summit to develop solutions for communities to have access to affordable, secure and sustainable housing. You will amplify the voices of those affected by housing challenges, driving meaningful change toward a more equitable housing service landscape through research, community engagement, collaboration and policy recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop advocacy strategies to address housing challenges in regional communities.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, community organisations and other stakeholders.
- Conduct research and analysis to support policy recommendations.
- Lead community engagement efforts to gather insights and amplify voices.
- Prepare reports, presentations and policy briefs to communicate findings and proposals.
- Manage project timelines, budgets and deliverables effectively.
What you bring:
- Proven experience in project management or a related field.
- An understanding of housing policies and regional challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends.
- Passion for social justice and community development.
What's in it for you?
- Five weeks annual leave plus three days gifted leave between Christmas and New Year.
- 17.5% leave loading.
- Not for profit salary packaging (up to the value of $15,900) plus meal entertainment (up to $2,650).
- Opportunities for professional growth and development.
- A supportive and inclusive work environment.
- The chance to make a tangible difference in regional communities.
- Healthy work-life balance and flexible working arrangements.
- Employee Assistance Program.
