About the role:
In this role, you will provide administrative support to the City’s Community Care department, with a customer service focus to staff, clients, their families and the broader community on the quality of services.

Work type: Temporary Full Time (through to 31 December 2025)
Classification: Band 4 Commencing at $71,647 pa plus super (pro rata)

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide a range of clerical and administration services to the Community Care department.
  • Receive referrals and provide information to the public about Council’s Community Care.
  • Prepare monthly adjustments for client accounts and provide information to the Finance unit when required.
  • Monitor debtors and pursue, in consultation with supervisor, outstanding amounts.
  • Maintenance of office equipment, stock, stationery and individual portfolios as directed by supervisor.

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have prior experience in an administrative role and be comfortable liaising with a diverse range of people. You will be highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

Essential Experience:

  • Several years' experience in an administrative position exercising independent judgement and working with complex rostering systems.
  • Organisational skills with capacity to prioritise work, meet competing demands and timelines with minimum supervision.
  • Administrative experience in an office environment, with experience in word processing, spreadsheet and data base software packages, accounts payable and receivable, and data entry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and sensitivity in dealing with others.
  • Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
